If you’re in business (like us) it probably feels like there are 1000′s of web marketing companies out there all claiming to be able to provide a better service and deliver better results than the last.
Well – there are!
The problem is that the vast majority of cold callers who approach businesses are not marketing or SEO experts, rather thay are sales people desperately trying to smash this weeks sales target.
Making a hasty decision on who to rely on for your internet marketing services may leave you a little out of pocket, more importantly though – a snap decision with the wrong company can leave you without your perfect brand image online.
Maybe it’s because I’m a bit disgruntled myself that I chose to write this. I’ll explain – a huge chunk of this week for me has been spent dealing with internet companies that deal in volume sales, with less of a focus on the customer experience shall we say. I’ve been trying to organise transfers of Pumpkin Web Design customers URL’s (domain names) away from the companies that have either mis-sold to them in the past, under-delivered, billed incorrectly etc.
A URL transfer should be a simple process – unless you happen to have made one of these snap decisions that I’m talking about, and gotten yourself involved with the wrong people.
My point is this – whoever you choose to work with on your internet marketing campaigns, make sure you know that the person you are dealing with has your companies best interests at heart. Rarely will this include sales people or larger, volume driven sales organisations. Choose a company where you can pick up the phone and speak to your personal designer, SEO or marketing partner – it will save a huge potential headache later…
